Welcome Chuckers

Tough Mudder Chuckers is just getting going and I wanted to lay down some foundational stuff - just to make sure we are all starting at the same point.

This event is voluntary - I have twisted some arms and persuaded some of you but have not forced any.  I would appreciate it though that once a commitment is made that it is kept.  You can back out any time though.

This event is not free.  or cheap for that matter.  There is a cost associated.  Time, energy, effort, and money.  The sooner we pay the cheaper it is.  I am willing to use my pay pal account for people to make weekly or bi-weekly payments into until the full amount is met.  Let me know if you like this idea.

This team is limited - my dad always told me with every added person to a group you increase headache disproportionately and unfavorably to benefit gained.  I have invited five total as original Chuckers and each of you are welcome to bring up to three (3) sub-chuckers (as many spectators as you'd like).  This will make a team of 20 which seems about right.  I reserve the right to re-visit this rule so come to me with any exceptions you'd like me to consider.

We will wear a team uniform - not sure what it will be and am not ruling out or in favor of spandex (at The Compromise's request) at this moment.  The uniform will be up to debate as the event gets closer - some modifications are acceptable the day of the event.

This is not a dictatorship - this is not my group but is our group - it has been a collaborative effort to this point and will continue to be.  All "foundational stuff" is open to debate but if an agreement cannot be made a decision will be made by me (GOZO) that will hopefully be the best interest for the group as a whole.

No Mudder Chucker will be left behind - the only thing that will keep you from finishing this is quitting, injury or dieing.  Preparation will make this event much more enjoyable for everyone - please do your part in preparing.  Let the blog and your friends motivate you.  Ask for help when needed - in preparation as well as during the actual event.

This is all I can think of so far.  Please add to the list by commenting.  Once we have a good list going it will be published on a page as our bylaws of sorts.
